No, but I know a couple of girls that have done.

Needless to say, they now are friendless and manless! Serves them right.

As for your sons girlfriend, tricky situation. I would really try and work the situation, without actually accusing her, so that you can go and get a definite answer and SOON. Don't leave her time to feign a miscarriage, because then you'll never know. And you could never ask her then, because if she WAS being truthful and really had had a miscarriage, it would be the most awful thing for her not to be believed, bear that in mind.

Play the "I want to be involved" card. Perhaps confide in your son your worries so he understands why you might be seen to be 'interferring'. But insist you go to the doctors with them both, as a concerned and involved prospective grandparent, to get a definite confirmation of the pregnancy. If she starts making excuses, you will then have a reason to be suspicious, so you'll have grounds to confront her - perhaps buy her a HPT, and tell her to pee on it or get out your sons life!

But don't do anything that rash before she has given you further grounds to suspect. She could after all be the carrier of your future grandchild.

But most importantly, be there for your son. Advise him that if she IS pregnant, he shouldn't let this trap him into a relationship he doesn't want. A child CAN have a good upbringing with seperated parents, in fact I think it is far better for the child to have that than to have parents who are in a loveless relationship, making arguments and tension more commonplace in the family environment. Also if one or both of them continues the relationship unwillingly now, a split further down the line is almost inevitable. It is much better for this to happen sooner rather than later, as if the child is old enough to realise what's going on s/he will be hurt and affected.

But advise him to handle the break up carefully if she is pregnant, for fear of risking getting her back up and her denying him access - although I'm sure if it went to court he would be granted visitation rights, it's always far better to come to an amicable arrangements.

I hope, whatever the outcome of this, you and your family are happy :-)
References :
I'm kind of embarassed to say this, but I actually seriously considered doing this to someone I was dating when I was a bit younger . I was about 18 years old and "in love" with this person I now know is a loser but back then I thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread...When he broke up with me I thought of every possible thing I could do to get him back... and the fake pregnancy was definitely in those thoughts, lol. It's something that women who have low self confidence and feel like they "need" the guy do. I am assuming your son and his girlfriend are very young like I was. Thankfully age and wisdom have taken effect and I would never consider a silly desperate act like that now, lol. The only way to know for sure if she is really pregnant or faking it is to have her take a pregnancy test (preferably a blood test at the doctor). She could be lying to him, but there is a chance she is telling the truth so its better to find out for sure, rather than accuse a possibly innocent person of being a liar.
References :
That sucks... I hope your right. he needs to keep using protection. Eventually nothing would happen meaning she wouldnt be pregnant. I have seen this before though. In High school I saw a girl poke holes in condoms to keep her boy( poor kid ) and I have seen girls get pregnant women pee on a test to keep a guy. The problem is that boys or men figure well she is already pregnant no need for prtection and the end up getting pregnant anyway. some little girls act so crazy for boys and destroy both their lives in the process.
References :
I've never done that personally, but I have been asked to pee on a test, when pregnant so someone else could fake it. Of course I didn't do it. I think it's awful, but apparently it's very common. I hope that if this girl is crazy enough for you to suspect, that she isn't pregnant for your sons sake!
References :
No, but i'm on the other end of your situation. I was preganant with his child and he didn't believe me. He ran away and I'm now raising his daughter with another man who is the only father she's ever known. Her biological father went to one Dr. appointment with me and I think it was only to verify I was pregnant. It was a very disgusting way to act. If she is faking you'll know soon enough.
References :
I have never done that and never would. I have heard people do that to try and save their relationship and of course it doesn't help the relationship. I would tell her that you want proof that she is indeed pregnant.
